Good podcast on agile development practices, found during random play on the iPod. 🙂

IT Conversations: Scott Ambler – Are You Agile or Are You Fragile?

The software industry is shifting from large-scale, prescriptive processes that mandate rigorous procedures and policies to lighter, more agile methodologies. Are these agile processes appropriate for your organization? If so, which should you consider adopting? What challenges can you expect and how can you overcome them?

In this presentation Scott Ambler describes and contrasts the leading agile methodologies, including Crystal Light, eXtreme Programming, Scrum, Dynamic System Development Method, Feature Driven Development, and Agile Modeling. He also discusses the possibility of tailoring an agile instantiation of the Rational Unified Process (RUP).

FoxiPod – BEST FIREFOX PLUGIN EVAR – uh, sucks to be Windows, folks… May 15 2005

So, fresh from the bowels of comes this fantastic link:

What is FoxiPod, you might ask? It delivers basically an almost perfectly ideal experience: Any .mp3 file linked on a website (such as on an .mp3 blog for example) gets a little icon beside it. Click the icon. The mp3 gets downloaded into itunes. Which will then synch it to your iPod. FREAKING AWESOME!

FoxiPod uses Greasemonkey with Firefox to make downloading MP3s and music files and adding them to iTunes a single-click process.

Go get it now. And, well, sorry Windows-only users. This is Mac only. Gaaaaaaa! 🙂

MUTANT POP – Tim’s Top Ten 01/12/04 Dec 28 2004

Tim’s weekly Top 10 Mashups and bootlegs – gonna have to come back to this one!

MUTANT POP – Top Ten 01/12/04

Well strictly it should be 2nd of December – decided to do these mid week – partly because I have more time then. and partly because bootleggers seem to release most boots Sunday night and after the weekend!

The freeze has started here, but no snow or ice as yet, with the invevitable ‘hillarious’ messages written on cars like ‘I LUV MARY JANE’ and people scrawling various genitalia and breasts onto cars. It’s a old pagan winter tradition, doncha kno?

Listening to XFM today I heard BabySHAMBLES are played not one, not two, not three but FOUR gigs on New Years Eve. Wonder if Pete Doherty will not turn up to all of ’em?

Anyway, time for the show, baaaaaaaaaaby….

Todays show is brought to you by the words ‘melange’, ‘interjection’, ‘veritable’, various kitchen appliances and the number 69. Spot them kids!

Another 10 songs for the iPod. Sweet!
