A good friend in California received a sincere looking notification and check for a “3rd-catagory-prize” with information on how to contact the parties dispersing the check. Apparently they want her to cash the check then wire money to two different individuals as a payment for taxes. Be aware these people are going “Low-Tech” again in hopes of stealing your money. If she did this, she would have been guilty of wire-fraud.

I recieved a similar mail from “Irish Lottery” and they asked me to contact a courier company
by the name “ICC Company ” . When I asked for
a scanned copy of my “winning cheque” , they
sent it ! The cheque was from Lloyds Bank plc,
and the “dispatch officer” wrote that he worked all life for this company and he can guarantee that the cheque is genuine.
The “courier company” also gave
their bank account details and asked to
deposit $1275 towards “courier fee” into that
